Melissa is responsible for Energy Dome’s North American business. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Melissa’s background includes a diverse set of asset types, including traditional thermal generation, hydropower, combined heat and power, and long-duration storage technologies. Melissa has worked for several early-stage companies, having served recently as VP of Commercialization for a critical climate tech company. Melissa has previously held leadership roles across several areas, including development, acquisitions, and operations. In prior ventures, Melissa helped build development pipelines, helped found a portfolio operating company, and facilitated the redevelopment of a coal-fired trigeneration plant. Melissa’s background was founded in operational engineering in the maritime sector, receiving a BS in Marine Engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy, including a license to operate steam and gas turbine vessels of unlimited tonnage. She began her career in the energy space as a field engineer, performing outage work on nuclear power plants for US utilities.
