Referred to as “a national sustainability expert” by the EPA (Janet Haff), Kelly Weger, has spent her entire career in sustainability. She earned her degrees in sustainable architecture from the University of Michigan (Bach. Science in Architecture) and University of Texas at Austin (Master of Architecture with Sustainable Emphasis). With a first career as a Registered Architect and LEED Accredited Professional specializing in sustainable commercial building design, then helped found a start-up non-profit, Energy Works Michigan, providing renewable energy and energy efficiency programs for K-12 schools throughout Michigan. Ms. Weger went on to spend over a decade providing strategic sustainability consulting, and workshop facilitation to over 300 companies, primarily in manufacturing. Currently, as the Director of Sustainability, Ms. Weger is leading Qcells to aspire to be the most sustainable solar company in North America. She is also an international speaker, a published author, and known for her passion for sharing and inspiring commitment to a sustainable lifestyle and gender equality.
