Tuesday, February 13, 2024
12:15 PM – 12:35 PM ET
Location: 050, BCEC
Hydrogen is set to play an important part in the future of the natural gas and electric utility business models. In this session, learn how one utility has begun participating in research and pilot projects to help advance this space, focusing on two noteworthy projects in development that utilize disruptive technologies to change the way we are producing hydrogen today. Two vastly different techniques to produce clean hydrogen for local distribution at the utility level will be explored: 1. The creation of on-site on-demand hydrogen through the microwave catalytic reforming of natural gas; 2. An innovative membrane technology that unleashes the green hydrogen revolution with a stable and low-cost alkaline exchange materials process.
