TechTalk: Empowering New York through Hydrogen Innovation

New York State’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (Climate Act) enacts the most aggressive climate targets in the United States: 40 percent greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions by 2030, 100% emission-free electricity system by 2040, and an 85 percent reduction in GHG by 2050 from 1990 level. In this session, NYSERDA will spotlight the state’s commitment to foster a clean-hydrogen ecosystem that supports emissions reduction goals. This discussion will include an overview of NYSERDA's research, development, and demonstration program in clean hydrogen, which offers opportunities to decarbonize hard-to-electrify sectors and resiliency solutions, including current phase of solicitation. Attendees will learn how these strategic initiatives propel New York towards a greener, more sustainable future, leveraging hydrogen's potential as a key player in the state's clean energy landscape.
