To meet our climate goals, a comprehensive strategy to clean energy deployment must include removing barriers to installing solar on the built environment while also maintaining responsible land use for ground-mounted systems and investing in grid infrastructure. This session explores how thoughtful policy and stakeholder engagement can guide innovation that demonstrates appropriate stewardship when siting renewable generation on greenfields and maximizes adding solar and storage on already-impervious, large rooftops, parking lots, and brownfields.
